Paisley Is the Definition of Eclectic
A small community in southwest Edmonton has people talking, and the Brookfield Residential Down Payment Plan has them buying.
Paisley is a unique community. It isn’t rows of traditional-style houses, defined areas of single family and multi-family projects, and home fronts all along the roads. Instead, this Edmonton neighbourhood is an eclectic mix of home types and styles, where creative and innovative people can escape the frenzy of the downtown core.
“I like how it’s a smaller community in the southwest corner of Edmonton, but not so far out,” says Ryan Kwan, 31, a lead designer at Brookfield Residential. Kwan moved into Paisley two months ago. He says the location of the community, with Rutherford to the east, Windermere to the west and Terwillegar to the north, means amenities are plentiful and easily accessible.
While no busy roads or transit routes intersect the community, each home is no further than 400 m — or a five-minute walk — from public transit. Terwillegar Park, an off-leash dog park, and the Terwillegar Community Recreation Centre are also nearby. Great walks can be found in the community and just beyond, as well as the striking public art piece Nepenthes Paisleyi by Dan Corson, which is monochromatic by day and alight with dynamic LED programming after dark.
“One feature I love about Paisley is the amount of green space, park and pond area in relation to the community’s size,” says Kwan. “It makes the community enjoyable to walk around, pet-friendly and noticeably less dense than other communities.”
Affordable Down Payments
Edmontonians are also buzzing about Paisley’s affordability. With homes starting in the low $200s, the community proves that accessible home down payments truly do exist. Brookfield Residential offers the Brookfield Down Payment Plan, which gets you started for as little as $1,000. Home ownership is now open up to buyers who didn’t think it was a possibility.
Homebuyers are falling in love with Brookfield Residential’s outstanding floor plans, which make the most of every square foot and include features like walk-in closets, ensuites, and upstairs laundry in many models — features not usually found in townhouses and duplexes.
Brookfield’s five Paisley show homes are open seven days a week and include three townhouse models and two Palazzo duplex homes. The Palazzo is a three-bedroom home with a flex area on the upper floor. Up to 1,751 sq. ft., the Palazzo includes a master bedroom with walk-in closet and ensuite and upper floor laundry.
This spring, Brookfield Residential will open six new show homes in Paisley. There will be a fantastic array of types and styles, including more modern and some traditional styles: rear-lane duplexes, front garage duplexes and rear-lane single family homes.
