See Erin Loree’s new exhibition at Peter Robertson Gallery

Erin Loree brings her new exhibition, “Forth and Back,” to the Peter Robertson Gallery. The exhibition focuses on pairs of paintings that continue Loree’s exploration of the opposing forces of freedom and constraint. The exhibition runs to October 20.

See the Edmonton premiere of a work by playwright Vern Thiessen

If you’re a theatre fan, you have to check out the Edmonton premiere of a work by playwright Vern Thiessen, Lenin’s Embalmers. In the play, two scientists are pushed to their limits when they’re given the task of embalming former Soviet leader Vladimir Lenin in a true story of scientific achievement and deception. The production opens on October 11.

Add a few LitFest events to your schedule

LitFest, Canada’s only non-fiction literary festival, returns from October 11 to 21 with an action-packed schedule of programming. The 11-day festival offers attendees the chance to explore a wide variety of non-fiction in various formats, from author panels to writing workshops and live performances.

Hear The Beatles’ hits performed live

A popular orchestral Beatles tribute show, Classical Mystery Tour, comes to Edmonton on October 10. The four musicians will bring hits from The White Album and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band to the Winspear Stage.

Catch Amy-Claire Huestis’ exhibition before it finishes

Artist Amy-Claire Huestis’ exhibition closes on October 13, so make sure to stop by before it does. Her exhibition, “Name The Moons,” is inspired by her daily walks near her home in the Fraser River Delta in British Columbia.
