Tom Wood, who has adapted several classics for the stage including A Christmas Carol, The Three Musketeers, and Pride and Prejudice, returns with a production based on Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility. The comedy of manners starring the Dashwood sisters will be directed by Bob Baker and feature the participants of the 2017 Citadel/Banff Centre Professional Theatre Program.

The Alberta Avenue Business Association and City of Edmonton have joined forces to bring back the popular food tour Eats on 118 for another year. Check out the diverse culinary offerings on 118 Avenue by sampling fare from a few of the restaurants. The April 26 tour will be making stops at El Rancho, Battista’s Calzone, and T&D Vietnamese Noodle House.

On April 27, check out a fundraising event in support of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Misericordia Community Hospital. Enjoy a red carpet welcome, hors d’oeuvres and a cocktail hour, and more — and dress in your Hollywood best. The evening includes a live panel on fashion, beauty and style.

If you haven’t yet had the chance to watch The Danish Girl, the April 26 screening at the Garneau Theatre is the perfect opportunity. The screening is sponsored by the University of Alberta Medical Student’s Association and Sexuality and Gender Advocacy group.
