From August 10 to 13, Edmonton Folk Fest is returning — and even if you can’t make it out on all four days, stop by for a show on Thursday or Friday evening. The acts on August 10 and 11 include Shakey Graves, Brandi Carlile, The Decemberists and more.

The National Youth Orchestra of Canada is in the midst of a national tour, and on August 8, they’re stopping by Edmonton. The repertoire will include music by Wagner, Shostakovich, Strauss and Ravel.

On August 11, head out to the University of Alberta Botanical Gardens for a unique experience — a pajama party under the stars. Stargaze with the Royal Astronomical Society, learn more about the constellations, take part in games and stories in the gardens and more.
