The Edmonton International Street Performers Festival runs until July 16, so if you haven’t gotten a chance to check it out yet, this week is your last opportunity. There are over 40 acts from around the world performing for audiences in Sir Winston Churchill Square.

The Fifth Annual C’Mon Festival is taking place on July 14, and it’s an entirely different type of music festival experience. The festival repertoire focuses on genre-blurring classical and chamber music, and this year’s “Serenade to Little Italy” will feature pieces by Ennio Morricone, Puccini, Verdi and more.

If you’ve always been a fan of the improv stylings on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, you’re in luck — on July 14, comedian Colin Mochrie is taking the stage at the Citadel along with Jeff McEnery and Wayne Jones.

The Art Gallery of Alberta’s latest exhibition, “Cutline: From the Photography Archives of The Globe and Mail,” recently opened — and they’ve got a panel planned to accompany the exhibition entitled “Cropping the Truth: A Panel on Fake News.” Panelists include Jana Pruden, Paula Simons, Dr. Jason M. Harley, and will be moderated by Mark Iype.

More distilleries have been popping up in and around Edmonton. If you find yourself wanting to learn a bit more about the process, you’re in luck – on July 13, Hansen Distillery is holding a gin making class. Attendees can sample several gin spirits to figure out their favourite flavour profiles, and with the help of Hansen’s Master Distillery, create their perfect gin for cocktails.
