This year’s Up + Downtown Music Festival kicks off on October 6, in various venues throughout the downtown core. The line-up includes Wintersleep, Nuela Charles, The Provincial Archive, Cadence Weapon and more.

From October 5 to 8, Bloom Festival 2017 will take over the Shaw Conference Centre. The packed schedule includes the opportunity to learn more about wellness, see Daniela Andrade in concert, get your body moving with yoga and running and much more.

A bit intimidated at the idea of pulling together a thanksgiving feast? Not to worry — stop by Get Cooking Edmonton on October 5 for a crash course with Doreen Prei and Kathryn Joel. You’ll learn how to butcher your bird and cook it three ways, and put together a menu including smoked haddock, corn chowder, sweet potato biscuits, sides for the turkey as well as pumpkin pie.
