It look less than 24 hours to transform the underground parking lot of City Centre Mall into one of Edmonton's hippest night clubs — though temporary, it was.
Part of the occasional party series aptly named Underground Sound, the May 15 event featured a fashion show highlighting some of Edmonton's best models and designers, as well as a silent auction and music stylings by DJ Cobra.
The venue attracted more than 1,300 people, including the guest of honour, Hollywood socialite Kim Kardashian, who made the trip to Edmonton exclusively for the party.
The event was in support of the Society of Northern Alberta Print-Artists (SNAP). "We raised just over $1,000 for SNAP's ever-expanding programs and presence in Edmonton," says Greg Burns, marketing director for City Centre Mall. The money goes toward SNAP's recent relocation to and renovation on Jasper Avenue and 121st Street.
