Delicious dishes that look as good as they taste

You might be familiar with Rge Rd dinners, where meals are held at Edmonton area farms and you can dine surrounded by the land on which the food was grown. Now, you don’t need to leave the city to have that experience. Blair Lebsack and Caitlin Fulton have created a restaurant with the same concept as the out-of-town dinners, creating beautiful dishes that taste as good as they look. Not only is the menu locally based, but many of the items follow the idea of whole-animal cooking, like the questionable bits and the Pilatus Farms bison with smoked bone marrow. You can even go for a multi-course meal with the Rge Rd Trip; it’s like what you’d experience if you went to one of the out-of-city dinners. (10643 123 St., 780-447-4577, rgerd.ca)
