The rooftop patio of the Black Dog Freehouse on Whyte has good beer, good company and a good view of Whyte Avenue with all its colourful nocturnal fauna. One feels very civilized looking down upon the rabble while sipping a chilled bottle of Dos Equis. The icing on the cake is that the open patio doors release music spun by popular local DJs, who must abide by basically one rule: Anything but Top 40.
