Meaningful Beauty

Cindy Crawford has put her famous moniker on a variety of products: watches, whiskey, even furniture. While her handle on home decor can be questioned, her beauty really can't. The supermodel has managed to keep her stunning looks over nearly three decades in the business; her face seemingly (naturally?) frozen in time.  Recently, she decided to share her secret to defying age with us mortals.

Crawford says she first discovered Dr. Louis Sebagh's "Meaningful Beauty" formula around 1995, and later convinced him to share his "age maintenance" beauty line with the public.  You may have seen the commercials explaining how a rare melon ingredient is the key to keeping skin looking young.

After trying the "Meaningful Beauty" system (Skin Softening Cleanser, Antioxidant Day Creme SPF 20, Anti-Aging Night Creme, Lifting Eye Creme, Firming Chest and Neck Creme, Wrinkle Smoothing Capsules, Glowing Serum, and Deep Cleansing Masque) for several weeks, here's the break-down: it's a fine skin care line.  However, it's just fine. It's not miraculous. The products left my skin feeling clean, richly moisturized, cared-for, but I don't think they significantly diminished my wrinkles, and they may not have rid Cindy of hers, either.

In 2006, she admitted to Gala magazine that she's been getting help from a cosmetic surgeon since the age of 29 — counting on "vitamin injections, Botox and collagen." No judgement here; the 45 year old mother of two looks amazing. I'm just saying do a bit of research before you invest in this skin care line, especially if it's based on Crawford's testimony alone. In my humble opinion, the product stands on its own; it's made of quality ingredients, feels good on the skin, and is a line I'd consider using, although it is a bit pricey.  Just don't buy into "Meaningful Beauty" expecting a miracle, or Cindy Crawford-like beauty. She's got great genes, has had a little surgical help, and looks unbelievably fabulous. That's why she's a supermodel.
