Dave and I met on Lavalife and exchanged a few messages before agreeing to meet at Steeps. I went to Glenora to meet him... and he went to Whyte! Despite this initial communication breakdown, our real first date was as comfortable as a first date can be. We talked all evening, he walked me home and asked if he could give me a hug good night. What a gentleman! The only thing that could top the night was the call I got from him the next day! I really felt that Dave was the one for me just before we moved in together two years later. He gave me a key to his place the weekend before and I hung out Saturday night while he attended kung fu practice… Being there for him to come home to felt so natural I knew I wanted to be there every night. Our wedding is set for the anniversary of our (real) first date and I can’t wait to share our story with our friends and family!
