2015 is drawing to an end, and with so many options for New Year’s Eve events in Edmonton, it can be tough to decide how to spend your night. Fireworks around the city, family-friendly events for those looking to celebrate a bit earlier, decadent multi-course menus crafted by some of the city’s finest chefs, and live music performances that will allow you to dance the night away are just a few of the options available on Dec. 31.
New Year’s Eve Downtown
This year marks the 16th annual New Year’s Eve Downtown festival, and what better place to ring in the New Year than Churchill Square? The event has magicians, balloon artists, and face painters for families indoors at City Hall, and revelers willing to brave the cold can enjoy ice skating, music and hay rides outdoors — and, of course, fireworks at midnight.

New Year’s at the Savoy
Those looking for some vintage fun can party like it’s 1936 with the Sugar Swing Dance Club’s New Year’s at the Savoy event. There will be cocktails, a mini cabaret with several talented performers and live swing dance performances, a photo corner, vintage music and more. 2016 Edmonton International New Year’s Eve Gala
Enjoy good food and drinks at the Edmonton International New Year’s Eve Gala, with proceeds going to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. The evening will also include a silent auction with several rare items and a performance by DJ Tomaski along with several talented former Cirque Du Soleil artists.
