Working within a long tradition of landscape painting in Canada, David T. Alexander, Gregory Hardy and Andrew Rucklidge each bring distinct perspectives to the experience and representation of our country’s outdoor environments. The works in this group exhibition span from craggy cliffs and reflective lakes of British Columbia to rural Saskatchewan skies to utopian mountainous landscapes recovering from over taxation. Working across a broad span of painterly approaches, each artist offers unique and resonant expressions of place.
