See Carole King’s hits — and story — brought to life on stage

If you’re a fan of legendary songwriter Carole King’s works, and want to know even more about her story, don’t miss Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. The production runs November 6 to 11 and follows King’s journey from a young girl in Brooklyn to a music industry staple.

This year marks 10 years of Top 40 Under 40 issues, and we’re celebrating with a big event on November 7. Enjoy a program, hors d’oeuvres and the opportunity to mix and mingle with this year’s inspiring class of recipients.

Here’s Nina, presented by ATB Financial, is the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts’ beloved annual fundraiser. This year’s celebration takes place on November 8 — join honourary chair Bruce Hogle at the event, which will feature performances by Martin Kerr, Alfie Zappacosta, Ann Vriend and more.

Marvel at works by the masters

The Art Gallery of Alberta’s “Master Strokes” exhibition is now open, and trust us, you won’t want to miss it. The exhibition features pieces from The Victoria & Albert Museum’s collection of approximately 700 Dutch and Flemish drawings. “Master Strokes” is the first exhibition to present this little-known collection to a wider audience.
