From the crispy-on-the-outside, juicy-on-the-inside Cornish hen to the luxurious entrecte (rib) steak served medium rare with foie gras butter, my wife and I had our best dinner of the year at The Marc.
The servers are friendly and take time to discuss your wine and beer selections; you never feel like you’re being talked down to. Even when the restaurant is full, the servers make you feel like your dining experience is of utmost importance to them. The menu changes seasonally, but The Marc manages to mix the traditions of French cooking with modern flavours – and the result is something unique to Edmonton.
You can go for a sit-down dinner in the open and airy dining room or sit at the bar and enjoy great French wine and snacks, like the rich steak tartare or the steamy smoked Arctic char croquettes. The vibe is buttoned-down, but the food that comes out of the kitchen is black-tie. –Steven Sandor
