The Edmonton Ice Cream Shop Where Even the Classics are Better

You’ll have a hard time deciding which small-batch flavour to get a scoop of at Kind Ice Cream.

Although we recommend choosing a freshly rolled waffle cone over a cup, your next decision will be a tough one. There are 11 “always” flavours (two of which are vegan), plus a few rotating ones that are created to suit the season.

“Camping” is inspired by summer bonfires and roasted smores. Crunchy graham crackers, creamy milk chocolate and marshmallows make it a must-try. Another rotating favourite is Cookies and Sour Cream, which uses premium Alberta-made Bles-Wold sour cream and is rich with gooey chocolate wafers.

Even the classics are better than before at Kind: Deep Dark Chocolate is a chocolate-lovers heaven, made with high-quality cocoa. Salted Caramel, another favourite, is made with Red Balloon caramels that make this flavour velvety sweet.

Kind is a women-led business, owned and operated by Paula Shyba, Nicole Bhar and Candyce Morris. Morris says being kind is the driving force behind their business. And that means using products that are kind to the environment, being friendly to customers and staff, and supporting other local suppliers and businesses.
