Powerful Profiles: A Virtual Portrait Exhibit by Black Women Artists

Discover the captivating portraits presented in a virtual exhibition by Multicultural Heritage Centre. Curated by an Edmonton artist and author Alexis Marie-Chute, the exhibition runs until mid-August.

Multicultural Heritage Centre in Stony Plain presents a virtual art exhibition Powerful Profiles, a collection of portraits created by Black Women Artists.

Participating artists are Mariana Sguilla, Serena Saunders,and Kiarra Elliot. For the next three weeks, a different artist will be highlighted every Thursday.

This Thursday, Serena Saunders’s feature premiere will begin at 6 p.m. Though Saunders specializes mostly in portraiture, she also has meaningful work in sculpture and writing. You can watch the livestream on the centre’s YouTube channel. The exhibition runs from June 25 to August 20. All videos will be available for viewing after the last premiere on July 16.
