Help Alberta’s Lifeline

The need for blood never goes away. Find out how you can help today.

The need for blood in the coming weeks and months will remain high, which is why Canadian Blood Services needs you to keep your appointment, or book one, if you are healthy and able (it is safe and, in fact, critical, to donate during COVID-19). As CEO Dr. Graham Sher says, we should think about this as a marathon, not a sprint, and booking an appointment will help Canadian Blood Services provide life-saving products and services to patients in need. It’s a good way to contribute during these trying times, and it could literally save a life.

Download the Canadian Blood Services app, GiveBlood, here and here.

If you are unable to donate blood, consider donating money to strengthen programs for blood, stem cells, organs and tissue donations, and fuel research and innovation initiatives that will connect patients with the life essentials they need.
