Adult Drop-In Studio: Winter Watercolours 

When: January 23, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Where: Art Gallery of Alberta, 2 Sir Winston Churchill Square

In this workshop, attendees will attempt to capture the enchantment of light in a winter landscape using water colours.

Drag Queen Paint Night 

When: January 25, 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Where: Harcourt House Artist Run Centre, 10211 112 Street

Join Robert Thorne (AKA Agata Gogh) on this night of pure queen fun. This workshop will go through the 12 steps of painting a canvas.

Ocean In Resin Art Escape 

When: January 25, 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Where: 9318 109 Avenue NW

Escape the winter blues by attending this workshop where guests will paint a part of the ocean on wood with resin.

Intro to Miniature Painting Class

When: January 26, 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Where: 5722 104 Street NW

Taught by Eric of Eric Borowski Art, this class is aimed at people who have never painted before, so all skill levels are welcome.

Functional Art Class – Coasters And Charcuterie 

When: January 27, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Where: 9318 109 Avenue NW

In this workshop, participants will paint seven stylish coasters and a cheese board with inks and resin.

Watercolour Landscapes Sketching

When: January 28, 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Where: Harcourt House Artist Run Centre, 10211 112 Street

With a focus on the plein air technique of painting, guests will learn the fundamentals of this historical technique, and then apply it to their own piece. The class is aimed towards those who have prior experience working with water colours, but it’s not a deal breaker if you are interested in learning.

Start Art Oil – The Paint Spot

When: January 30, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Where: Artelier Studios, 10007 80 Avenue

Join award-winning, coloured-pencil artist Shelly Banks as she introduces you to all the artistic possibilities of oil paints. This workshop is meant to get your creative juices flowing, and will include some hands on activities.
